1213 (Andover) Squadron started their 2008 cadet recruitment campaign on Saturday 17th May 2008 with a publicity stand in Andover’s Chantry Shopping Centre.
The stand manned on a rota throughout the day by 7 cadets and 2 staff used the new Air Cadet Organisation mini-marquee to attract potential recruits.
Flight Lieutenant Anne Barker, Andover squadron OC said “I am very impressed with the ACO marquee. It certainly did its job in catching the attention of potential recruits and the general public alike which drew them towards the stand.”
The day was a great success with 16 new recruit leads for the squadron who will start their 1st class training programme on 3rd June 2008
